What We Do

The People Skills Group works collaboratively with business leaders who want more productive team work, stronger leadership, and more profitable organizations. Our approach is to help your people gain the insight and skills necessary for effective communication, the cornerstone of strong teams and organizations. We do this by leveraging our expertise in personality instruments and theories such as the the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®. We teach your people how to leverage their strengths and develop weak areas within the context of individual, team and organizational goals through training and follow- up coaching.

Our Founder and President

Cynthia Stengel Paris is the President and Founder of The People Skills Group, LLC, which facilitates Developing People to Strengthen Organizations™. She has been working with individuals, teams and leaders to build strong organizations since 2001.

Ms. Paris is an expert in the interpretation and use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and psychological type. Ms. Paris has been awarded the Credential of MBTI® Master Practitioner by CAPT (Center for Applications of Psychological Type) and is listed in CPP’s Master Practitioner network (www.mbtimasterpractitioner.org); she is one of only a few hundred practitioners in the country who is certified to administer the MBTI®, Step III™ assessment for use in coaching. Her core business is built around the breadth and depth of the MBTI® personality assessment, and its capacity to transform individuals, teams, leaders and organizations.

Ms. Paris is the Co-Author and Editor of MBTI Today.org (www.mbtitoday.org) for Katharine D. Myers, Director Emeritus of the Myers- Briggs® Trust Inc., and is the author of monthly Blog postings on the use and application of the Indicator and type theory. She is an MBTI® Certification trainer, and has designed and delivered MBTI® Certification Programs and Advanced Application Workshops for hundreds of budding practitioners nationwide. She has served in various roles as liaison to the Board of the Association of Psychological Type International (APTi), as the North East Region Chapter Chair, and as President and Program Chair for the Delaware Valley APTi local chapter (DVAPT). Ms. Paris has been a presenter and coordinator for APTi international conferences, is a frequent speaker for local APTi Chapters, and an author of numerous articles for The Bulletin of Psychological Type.

Ms. Paris has established proficiency in guiding individuals, teams and leaders to deeper understanding of self and others which contributes to workplace efficiency, effectiveness and improved client services. She has a proven record of assisting organizations to improve individual and team performance, and is known for her enthusiasm, passion and expertise for helping people work better together.

Ms. Paris is an active member of APTi, DVAPT, and The Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group (GPSEG).

We represent over a decade of in-depth experience in driving business results through training and coaching.

We believe that while most organizations have the functional expertise to run their operations, it is the effective development of the people inside the organization that ultimately separates the wheat from the chaff.
