Cindy Paris is an MBTI® Master Practitioner, C-IQ Enhanced Skills Coach, Team and Leadership coach, and trainer and facilitator located in the Greater Philadelphia area. Cindy brings a unique approach and perspective to the business of people development through her extensive knowledge, experience and expertise in these areas.
Her purpose and focus is to help people work better together by tapping the potential in each individual to help them bring their best, whole-self, to the workplace.
Cindy is well known as a national expert and thought leader in the interpretation and application of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI) and Jungian Psychological Type. Cindy begins her engagements by peeling back the layers of Type to help people recognize how ingrained perspectives may be blocking success. Her distinctive approach to Type calls on products she developed, the Eight Jungian Function Image Metaphor Cards™ and companion products. Her methodology, which utilizes her products, is based on almost 20 years of facilitating Type programs, testing out what works and what doesn’t. Her approach helps people get to the core of Type quickly and efficiently, so people know what their Type means and can easily apply it in the workplace.
Cindy approaches her work from the principle that self-awareness is the key driver for individual effectiveness, successful workplace relationships, good leadership and teamwork, and ultimately higher levels of organizational performance. Her methodology blends cognitive, emotional and behavioral models and feedback into a powerful process for growth and development for individuals, leaders and teams. Cindy customizes each engagement to meet the unique needs and situations presented within different team and organizational contexts.
Cindy has had the great fortune to find a mentor and friend in Katharine D. Myers, Director Emeritus of the Myers – Briggs® Foundation; co-owner of the MBTI® and daughter-in-law of the creator of the Indicator, Isabel Myers. For years, Cindy had the pleasure of writing and editing Katharine’s personal website, as well as co-authoring numerous articles with Katharine which appeared in the APTi Bulletin of Psychological Type. She is one of a hundred or so practitioners in the world to be certified to use the MBTI® Step III™ a unique form of the MBTI which was developed for individual coaching and type development.
Cindy’s passion and exploration of Jungian Psychological Type started in her early twenties, when she came across a book by Isabel Briggs Myers called Gifts Differing. The book taught her that her way of being in the world, even though much different from most of her co-workers, was okay. At that point, Cindy embarked on a journey to become an expert in the field of Psychological Type so she could impart this valuable information to others. She accomplished this goal through years of studying Jungian Typology, attending Jungian seminars, completing certification courses, reading and studying, teaching MBTI Certification programs and serving on local and national boards of the Association of Psychological Type International (APTi).
In addition to serving groups and teams across industries, Cindy has a real love for training trainers which stems back to her experience as Adjunct Faculty for the Center for Applications of Psychological Type (CAPT) where she facilitated certification courses for budding MBTI practitioners. Cindy continues to facilitate advanced application workshops for MBTI Certified Practitioners. Cindy is a frequent speaker for local, national and international Chapters of the Association for Psychological Type (APTi), and has authored numerous articles for The Bulletin of Psychological Type.
