We use the MBTI Assessment as one entryway into the world of Psychological Type. There are currently three forms for the MBTI Assessment:
MBTI® Step I™ Form M
The MBTI Step I, Form M, is the simplest of the three MBTI forms, having only 93 questions. The Form M generates a number of computerized reports that contain different levels of information related to the reported Type. We select the report form to use for your group to align it with your team’s objectives, and material you receive in your workshops.
Listed below are the available reports from the Form M:
MBTI® Step I™ Profile Report: The Step I Profile Report is an easy to read, two-page report that provides you with a four-letter Type Code and a bit about that Type. It is the shortest and least expensive of the MBTI reports.
MBTI® Step I™ Interpretive Report: The Step I Interpretive Report is a five-page report that provides you with a four-letter Type Code, a bit about that Type and gives you an understanding of the core of your Type – the two Mental Functions that appear in the middle of the code. It provides you with an introduction to Type Dynamics and Myers’ hierarchy of functions for the Type.
MBTI® Step I™ Interpretive Report for Organizations: The Step I Interpretive Report for Organizations is a ten-page report that provides you with a four-letter Type Code, a bit about that Type, and gives you an understanding of the core of your Type. This report provides you with an introduction to Type Dynamics and Myers’ hierarchy of functions as well as the work and communication styles of the reported Type.
MBTI® Step II™ Form Q
After participants have taken the Step I and verified their four-letter Type, the Step II Form Q, generates what are known as the Facets of Type. The Facets provide an understanding of how we express each of our preferences on the four dichotomies. Type preferences and the corresponding Facets are printed via the MBTI® Step II™ Profile and Interpretive Report. This form of the MBTI and the corresponding reports are effective for pointing out differences between people of the same type, and in some cases, help people to verify their Type.
MBTI® Step III™
The MBTI® Step III™ is the most recent addition to the MBTI® forms. It is a highly individualized Type Development inventory which highlights personal effectiveness with regard to Yourself and Your World, People and Relationships, Responsibility and Work, and Problem Solving and Decision Making. It provides you with a path for how you can develop in your type with its built-in development statements and suggestions for growth. You select the statements that resonate with you and determine the direction for your personal development planning. The tool has powerful potential to jump start and streamline our work together. It also serves as a reference for setting goals and evaluating progress. We use the MBTI Step III™ for individual and leadership development.
